Please follow the following procedure to apply an update or hotfix:

Set the startup type for the PeopleSync Service to Disabled.

Restart the system.

Run the installer and fill all fields like in the initial installation.

Click OK in the Configuration Required dialog. A new configuration is not needed.

Set the startup type for the PeopleSync Service back to Automatic.
Verify the configuration
After completing the configuration:

Start PeopleSync Console and the PeopleSync Service after the update.

Confirm that the existing configuration, action accounts, and address lists are present.

Run a representative agent and inspect its log.
-
Compare a sample of synchronized contacts with the state before the update.
Expected result: The updated components start normally and existing configuration and contact identities remain intact.
