Microsoft announced that, effective May 1, 2026, IDCRL authentication will be disabled and is no longer supported for SharePoint Online connections. To maintain access, use an Entra ID app certificate for authentication from that date.
For PeopleSync to use OAuth with SharePoint Online, create an app registration in the Azure portal that uses certificate authentication and assign the required permissions.
